ANOTHER EXPEDITION INTO THE HIMALAYAS.
MR R. F. S. SMYTHE PLANS TO CLIMB MOUNT KAMET. (United Press Assn.—By Electric •"el egraph—Copy right.) LONDON, November 26 Mr R. F. S. Smythe, the Himalayan explorer, has almost completed arrangements to climb Mount Kamet, four hundred miles wjest of Mount Everest After serious deliberation, he has decid ed to omit oxygen apparatus from his equipment, considering that scientific experiments and practice show that the more acclimatised a man becomes the less benefit will be derive from oxygen as an aid to breathing at great heights The expedition, which will go to Bom bay in March, includes a Harrow mas ter, Mr Holdsworth, Squadron-Leader Beaumont and Dr Raymond Greene former president of the Oxford Alpine Club.
