The death of Rama Dullagh, aged 45, an Indian bottle-gatherer, who dropped dead at the corner of Bealey Avenue and Barbadoes Street on November 12, was inquired into to-day by Mr E. D. Mosley, Coroner. After hearing the evidence of Dr A. B. Pearson, the Coroner found that death was due to angina pectoris associated with degeneration of the blood vessels of the heart and chronic bronchitis. . The Canterbury Automobile Association report that the main road from Inangahua to Lyell and Murchison is at _ present closed to through traffic owing to slips, and will not be open for several days. Harry Leslie Anderson and Victor Lancelot Buckley were convicted and discharged in the Magistrate’s Court this morning on charges of being on the licensed premises of Coker’s Hotel after hours. On charges of refusing to leave the premises when asked to, they were both fined” £3 and costs. They were represented by Mr Reed and pleaded guilty.
