CONVERTED MOTOR-CAR ON WAY TO WELLINGTON

Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, November 27. After journeying to Napier on a motor-cycle, two Wellington youths ran short of money, and in order to get back to town they converted to their use a motor-car. The car, however, ran out of petrol a few miles after they started. They tried to strike a bargain for petrol with some goods, and this resulted in charges of theft, in addition to conversion, against one of them, Jack Mervyn Wiffen, who was admitted to probation for two years and ordered to pay the expenses incurred and to keep hours to be fixed by the probation officer.
