TENDERS ACCEPTED BY THE HOSPITAL BOARD.
The North Canterbury Hospital Board met to-day. There were present: Messrs H. J. Otley (chairman), William Anderson, G. Armstrong, J. S. Barnett, James Boyd, H. R. Davison, H. H. Holland, F. Horrell, D. M’Millan, F. G. Norton, F. Rowell, A. T. Smith, W. P. Spencer. W. J. Walter, Dr H. T. D. Acland, Dr Stanltey Foster, Mrs E. R. M'Combs, Mrs T. Green, and Miss E. J. M. Cardale. The Finance Committee reported having accepted the following tenders: T. H. Davies and Co., £176 16s for painting the Essex Home; W. Bennett and Son, £167 for painting at Tuarangi Home: F. E. Musgrove, £3495 9s 9d for the Lyttelton Maternity Hospital; L B. Davenport, £6BOO for the Sanatorium Nurses’ Home Extension. In reply to the board’s protest at the non-payment of Government subsidies on donations, a letter stated that the matter would be considered when the board’s financial year ended.
