UNLICENSED WIRELESS USED BY DEFENDANTS.
Three defendants, Clifford Ivan Allen. Claude Alfred Lang and Claude Ronald Prebble, were convicted and fined 10s and costs in the Magistrate’s Court this morning for being in possession of unlicensed wireless sets. Robert Allan Laurie, on a similar charge, was fined £1 and costs. A charge against Mary Winifred Yeadon was withdrawn. Mr H. P. Lawrv, S.M., was on the Bench. Mr T. Yates conducted the cases for the Department.
