MAN IS REMANDED ON CHARGE OF THEFT.
John James Clayton appeared before Mr W. T. Lester, J.P., in the Lyttelton Magistrate’s Court this morning charged with stealing, at Wellington, a suitcase and its contents, one sugar-bag and its contents, and a rug, to the total value of £ls, the property of John Dribble. The accused, who was arrested on the arrival of the ferry boat this morning, was remanded to appear at Wellington to-morrow.
