The Armistice Day ceremony at the Cenotaph which was broadcast by GSSW, Cheltenham, was received very clearly in Christchurch last night. First there came the sound of militaryorders, followed by Chopin’s Funeral March. Big Ben then struck eleven o’clock, which was the signal for the commencement of the two minutes' silence, which was terminated by the sounding of the Last Post. The hymn. “O God Our Help in Ages Past,” was sung after which a short extemporarvprayer was offered. The Lord’s Prayer was recited, the Revellie was sounded, and the National Anthem played.
