COUNCIL WILL DISCUSS ADDITIONS TO CEMETERY
The question of acquisition of land at Bromley for cemetery purposes will again be discussed by the City Council at its meeting on Monday evening. The other principal items of business are:— Allocation of band concerts for the coming season. Tenders for underground cable, supply of tar, supply of bitumen and for! painting the Heathcote Bridge. Position with regard to the electric power shortage as reported on by the Electricity Committee. Report of delegates to conference in connection with the control of the Estuary. Acquisition of land for widening Woodham Road and River Road.
Acquisition of land for widening North Parade.
Erection of reinforced concrete bridge over the River Heathcote at Princess Street. Question of purchase of stand-bv plant for Cashmere pumping station.
