SHOULD HAVE KEPT OUT OF WAY OF CLUB.
INJURED WOMAN LOSES CASE AGAINST GOLFER. (United Press Assn.—By Electric right.) CHICAGO, October 3. The defendant in a case in Court today, Mrs Alice Barber, won against another woman, whom she had badly injured, by showing that she was a good player. The plaintiff, Miss Marie Finn, sued Mrs Barber for £SOOO damages because the defendant had driven a brassie into her face and impaired her eyesight. “I kept my head down, as all good golfers should. I hit the ball and followed through. Now watch me ! ” said Mrs Barber. She gave the jury a practical demonstration of the principles of good golf, and the jury decided that Miss Finn should have kept out of the way of the club.
