TWO WARSHIPS SENT TO EGYPTIAN PORTS.
(United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received July 29, 1 p.m.) • RUGBY, July 2S. The Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Dr Hugh Dalton, replying to a question in the House of' Commons .said that owing to disturbances at those ports HALS. Ramillies has proceeded to Port Said and H.M.S. Waterhen to Suez. The Queen Elizabeth remains at Alexandria. Replying to other questions on the subject of Egypt Dr Dalton said that in view of their ultimate responsibility for the protection of foreign lives and liberty in Egypt and the danger to public order which had manifested itself, his Majesty’s Government considered that it was necessary to hold strictly to account the leaders of both parties in the present constitutional conflict in Egypt. His Majesty’s Government by dealing in a practical manner with the situation intended to make this unmistakenly clear.
