MINISTER HAS NOW HEARD BOTH SIDES.
Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, July 9. A .deputation representing the four university colleges waited on the Hon H. Atmore to-day contending that the Taranaki endowments were intended for the benefit of education generally and should be for the Victoria College, Wellington, which was the governing body so far as education in Taranaki was concerned. Mr Atmore mentioned having heard a Taranaki deputation say that the endowments be for the benefit of Taranaki ch V* n. Now he had heard both sides and would take an opportunity of placing the whole matter before Cabinet.
