GUN CLUB SHOOT AT RANGIORA TO-DAY.
The North Canterbury Gun Club at Rang-iora to-day shot oft a 12-bird clay pigeon handicap for trophies valued at £2 2s and £1 Is. with optional sweep. Fifteen competed. A. N. Turner and I. G. Watkins broke the possible and divided the sweep money. In the shootoff for the trophies Turner won the first on the second round. A prize for the best performance inside of 11yds was won by J. Skilling, and for the best performance inside of the 13yds mark O. Nelmens, A. Turner and L. Dow die divided. A cup donated by Messrs Hammond and Turner for the best aggregate in three of the club's principal monthly matches was won by 1. G. Watkins, who also won the Ashby Cup for the best first-barrel aggregate in the three matches.
