AMATEUR ROAD RACE IS HELD AT PAPANUI.
The Papanui Amateur Cj'cling Club held a twenty-five mile road race at Papanui to-day. L. G. Lulcey was a non-starter. There were twenty-nine competitors and a fast race resulted:— J. L. Richards (lmin 45sec), 66min 38sec 3 G. Brown (lmin 45sec), 66min 39sec 2 C. Fletcher (3min losec), 69min 9 1- 3 H. Harper (3min 15sec), G9min 9 2- 4 M. F. Pearl (2min 30sec), 68min 24 3- 5 Fastest time, J. L. Richards; second fastest time, G. Brown.
