LEGISLATION CUT DOWN BY PRIME MINISTER.
BRITISH PARLIAMENT MAY CONCLUDE SHORTLY
(United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.)
RUGBY, June 26.
Owing to pressure of Parliamentary work the Government’s legislative programme has been curtailed. The Prime Minister, Mr Ramsay MacDonald, said it was with great regret that the Government had decided that the Consumers Council Bill and the Education Bill could not be included in the revised programme without unduly prolonging the proceedings of Parliament. He hoped it would be possible to conclude the session by the end of July.
