P.N.E.U.
Mrs J. H. Hall presided over a large attendance of members at the monthly meeting of the P.N.E.U. held in the Chamber of Commerce last night, when Miss Macfarlane gave an interesting dress on Peru, and her experiences there when in charge' of a P.N.E.U school. Miss Macfarlane touched upon the flora and fauna, and gave an account of the system of irrigation which she said was a survival of that of the Incas. Many lantern slides were shown to illustrate the lecture.
Mrs J. H. Hall moved a vote of thanks to Miss Macfarlane, which was seconded by Dr Douglas Anderson. '’Supper, provided by the joint hostesses, Mrs R. A Horne. Mrs Ballantyne and Mrs H S. Williams, was handed round in the library.
