BASEBALL MATCH IS REBROADCAST FROM U.S.

The description of a baseball match from short-wave station W2XAF, Schenectady, America, was heard fairly distinctly at times, when re-broadcast by 3YA this afternoon. The announcer described the play round by round, and made running comments on the players. He was very enthusiastic about the lighting of the field. “I wish I had the power of descriptive speech,” he said, “to tell you how these 50-million candle-power light up this field. “The game is never over until the last,” was one of his remarks. Referring again to the lighting, he said that as if it were played in bright daylight. The illumination was provided bv six towers, and it was probably the ‘largest crowd for some time. The time was four minutes past one o'clock Eastern Daylight Saving time when he signed off.
