New Zealand-Built Monoplane Flies Successfully And Lands Well.
Per Press Association. WHAKATANE, April 3. Successful flights were made yesterday by this youth, John Allison, in the monoplane built by him. He made four flights, reached an altitude of 2000 feet and flew in all about sixty miles. He effected perfect landings, the machine behaving well throughout. This is claimed to be the first successful flight in a New Zealand-built aeroplane.
