REMARKABLE FORM SHOWN BY GOLFERS
(United Press Assn. —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) SYDNEY, April 2. When W. Hagen and J.. Kirkwood defeated the professional players W. Dobson and T. Howard at Concord links, five up and four to play, remarkable form was displayed. Although new to the course Hagen equalled the record of 70. Kirkwood, who had a stroke a round, did 33. It was his day of triumph. His approaching and putting were sensational and virtually decided the match. His figures were, out 33, in 33. He never exceeded par figures and included four birdies. With Kirkwood in superb form, Hagen was not often called upon for a vital effort, but he effected a master stroke, for instance, when he got an eagle at the seventh hole, 460 yards, which he did in three. Dobson did not reveal his top form and received scant assistance from Howard.
