KAIKOURA NEWS.
WEATHER DURING MARCH WAS QUITE SEASONAL. The following meteorological records for Kaikoura for the month of March are supplied by Mr Glenn (county engineer):—Total rainfall. 1.04 in; maximum fall, .43in, on March 10; number of days on which rain fell, 5. For the same period last year, the records were: —Total rainfall, 2.57 in; maximum fall. .82in, on March 7; rain fell on 12 days. A light fall of snow was showing on the ranges on March 30. Two frosts have been experienced on the flat dur ing the last week, and heavy dews are showing on the township and peninsula area. ST PAUL’S WOMEN'S CLUB. The first meeting of the 1930 session of St Paul’s Women’s Club was held in St Paul’s Schoolroom on Tuesday evening. There was a good attendance of members. Mrs F. Robertson presided. It was decided to change the night of club meetings to alternate Tuesdays. The programme for the season was discussed, and it was left to the annual meeting to draw up a programme. The annual meeting will be held in the schoolroom on Friday evening, April
