EDUCATION BOARD DISCUSSES COUNCIL.
(Special to the “Star.”) AUCKLAND, April 3. “ I do not know whether the Council of Education is of any use. It deliberates for days, but I do not know whether any notice is taken of its deliberations,” said Mr A. Bums, chairman of the Education Board, yesterday, when the appointment of a member of the council was discussed. It was decided to nominate Mr T. U. Wells, the sitting member, subject to his consent.
