LIFE SAVING.
SIR JOHN HALL SHIELD IS WON BY B.H.S. TEAM. The competition for the Sir John Hall Shield, held last evening at the Tepid Baths, resulted in a win for the Bovs’ High School No. 1 team. Boys’ High School entered two teams and Technical College two. This contest is a lifesaving test open to pupils of secondary schools who were under seventeen on October 1. 1929. The judges said they were very favourably impressed by the land drill, although the resuscitation could have been better. The water work was also of a high standard. The judges were:— Band work, Messrs IS'. M’Howell and F. B. Collins; water work. Miss I). Brown and Mr F. J. B. Scott. Results:— Boys’ High School No. 1 CM. F. W. Bruorton, W. B. Earwakcr, H. T.
