HOCKEY.
LOCAL COMPETITIONS TO BEGIN APRIL 26. The Management Committee of the Canterbury Hockey Association met last evening. Mr B. B. Smith presiding. The following members were also present: Messrs W. H. Down, H. W. Rogers, H. Snook, F. Fullwood. v. Hahn, B. Byers, G. Graham, B. F Is. Ward, J. Anderson and A. B. Graham (honorary secretary). . , The ten per cent penalty imposed on several clubs for the late payment of dues was reduced to five per cent. The Domains Board notified that the Hockey Association had been granted the use of the hockey grounds at Hagley Park. _ The Town Clerk wrote intimating that grounds had been allotted to the association in the following parks: Barrington Park, two grounds; Sclrnwood Park, one ground; Sydenham lark, two grounds; St Albans Park, on ® ground, and Simeon Street Reserve, one Sr Th" d annua] report of the New Zealand Hockey Association was received. The following sub-committee wei e appointed: Finance, Messrs F Pebble, A. Graham, R. Campbell and An . R. Matthews; emergency, Messrs g. Smith, R. A. Campbell and H W. Rogers: judiciary. Messrs H. AA. Boge , W H. Down and B. Byers; permits, Messrs V, Hahn, F. Fullwood aiid A. Graham; register keeper. Mr W. ley; special committee to allow ti an.fers, Messrs A. Graham, V. Hahn, b - Fullwood, R.
