FEWER TRAM TRIPS ON WINTER SUNDAYS.

BOARD PROPOSES TO CURTAIL TIME-TABLE

Proposals for a curtailment of the Sunday time-table during the winter months will come up for consideration at the meeting of the Christchurch Tramway Board to be held on Monday next. The matter has already been dealt with by the Works and Traffic Committee, which consists of the whole board sitting as a committee, and it is understood that on account of the decline in traffic due to the increase in the number of privately-owned motor-cars, a fairly substantial cut in the number of Sunday tram trips is proposed.
