OFFICIALS APPOINTED FOR HAWARDEN SHOW.

The monthly meeting of the committee of the Hawarden A. and P. Association was held in the Hawarden Hall. Mr D. Sidey presided over a large attendance. The president reported having received the tenders for the proposed additions to the buildings, but final consideration was postponed to a later meeting. Two tenders were received for the luncheon booth, Mrs P. J. O’Connor being the successful tenderer. The rights of the publican’s booth were let to Mr T. P. Hampson, Waikari. The following conditions were decided on for the H. T. .Little Memorial Challenge Cup, valued at twenty-five guineas, which the association has donated for competition. The cup has been allotted as a prize for the winner of most points in the Corriedale sheep section. The winner is to hold the cup for one year. His name will be inscribed on the trophy and he will be presented with a miniature cup similarly inscribed. In the event of two or more winners gaining an equal number of points the decision is to go to the one gaining the greatest number of first prizes. A letter from the Royal Show Society asking for the revision of the list of show judges was referred to the breed societies for consideration. It was decided to hold the annual ball on show night, and the following ball committee was appointed: Messrs A. Cowie, F. D. Dalzell, M. H. Stokes, A. B. Wilks, E. Fahey, F. Rydings and R. Gallatly. The president presented two five guinea cups. One was allotted to the exhibitor gaining most points in the light horse and pony section and the other to the fruit and vegetables section. Officials were appointed for the show as follows: Draught horses, Messrs J. Warwick (marshal), W. N. Hewitt, W. R. Booker and J. O’Carroll (stewards); light horses, Messrs K. Campbell (marshal), R. Bethell, J. Pawsey and J Heaslev, jun. (stewards) ; light horse competitions, Messrs J. F. Cracroi't Wilson (marshal), J. R. Little, and C. W. M’Keegan (stewards) ; ponies, Messrs 11. W. Shields (marshal), A. B. Wilkes, G. Fincham, and D. O'Connell (stewards) ; cattle and pigs, Messrs J. Doak (marshal) and 11. D. Burt (steward); purebred sheep, Messrs J. K. Forrester (marshal), J. Forrester, G. E. Mason, 11. Stokes, E. Relph, R. Rigby and E. W. Johnson (stewards) ; fat sheep, Messrs J. A. Forrester (marshal), L. Smellie, M. J. O’Carroll and J. 11. Wright (stewards) ; dogs, Mr R. B. Kellock; poultry, Mr E. J. Fahey: competitions, Messrs 11. Saundercock. J. Low, J. Gemmed and C. Suridge: stepping. Messrs J. Reader, C. Saundercock and E.
