MET DEATH WHILE AT WORK ON TRANSFORMER.

Eric Johns, 21 \’ears of age. was electrocuted yesterday afternoon at Pleasant Valle}', near Geraldine. He and another employee of the South Canterbury Power Board, named George Phillips, were working at a transformer when Johns met with the accident. Phillips did all that he could to induce artificial respiration, but being unsuccessful he drove Johns to a doctor at Geraldine, who did everything in his power, but unavailingly. Johns was very badly marked in the hand. Constable Callanan took the body to Johns's home at Tenuika. The inquest will probably be held at Te muka.
