BRILLIANT METEOR SEEN DURING DAY.

OBSERVERS AT THAMES REPORT FINE VIEW. Per Press Association. THAMES, February 10. A very brilliant meteor was observed at 1.12 yesterday afternoon in the southern Sky. The day was very fine and there were no clouds. The meteor was first observed almost due south about half way between the horizon and the zenith. It was a brilliant blue, falling towards the south-south-east. When it nearly reached the horizon it apparently burst with an .incandescent white fire. Spectators were amazed at its being so visible in broad daylight.
