WOOL PROSPECTS ARE NOW MORE HOPEFUL.

TO-MORROW'S SALE MAY SEE A GOOD CLEARANCE. The offerings for the third Christchurch wool sale to-morrow are about 1670 bales less than for the third sale last year. The figures are:— Bales. To-morrow’s sale 22,378 Last year’s sale 24,053 An opinion is expressed that the prospects for a satisfactory clearance are fairly good. It is hoped that prices will be on a par with the Timaru prices, perhaps a little better. The prospects are regarded as a good deal more hopeful than they were some two weeks ago, but it is not considered likely that there will be a great rise during the next few months.
