THOUSANDS CHEER PRINCESS MARIE-JOSE.
ROME TO BE EN FETE FOR ROYAL WEDDING. (United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) BRUSSELS, Januar3» 4. There were cheering thousands in the streets as Princess Marie-Jose of Belgium drove to the station to join the Italian Royal train for Rome. The train is unrivalled in the splendour of its appointments, the magnificent dining-room having been decorated by the foremost Italian artists. The Princess was accompanied b\ r the King and Queen of Belgium, and a large suite. Elaborate police precautions have been taken to ensure the safety* of the train, which will be preceded by pilot engines. Ex-Crown Prince Rupprecht of Bavaria, uncle of the bride, will attend the wedding. It will be the first meeting of King Albert with his brother-in-law since relations were broken off during the war. Though the pageant in Rome will be witnessed by few, it is seldom that there has been one more picturesque. During the whole week the Eternal City will be en fete. DUKE OF YORK TO ATTEND CEREMONY. LONDON, January 4. The Duke of York has gone to Rome to attend the Royal wedding. He will be absent for a week.
