BRILLIANT TENNIS IN TIMARU TOURNEY.

SOUTH CANTERBURY SEES KEEN FINALS. After outclassing his opponents in the first two sets, W. G. Robertson suffered a reversal of form, probably as a result of fatigpie from too much tennis. He was beaten by S. G. M’Dougall in the final of the men's singles championship. The score was 3-6. 3-6, 6-2, 6-0, 7-5. The Otago man’s ability to raise his game at the crucial moment was the contributing factor to victory, and he is to be congratulated on his splendid performance in the face of overwhelming odds.
