UNIDENTIFIED BODY FOUND IN RIVER.

The body of a well-dressed middleaged man was found in the Heathcote River, between Beckford Road and Ford Road at 12.30 am. today. It has not yet been identified. The body was that of a man of medium build, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, with dark brown hair turning grey. He had heavy dark eyebrow’s and grey eyes and was clean-shaven. His teeth were natural, with gold-filling in the upper jaw. When found, the body was clad in a dark suit with a light check and a grey tweed overcoat, a check shirt with a soft khaki linen collar and black tie. The boots were black, size 8. and one of them had recently been half-soled.
