The world’s largest lock will shortly be opened for use on the ship canal between Ymuidam and Amsterdam. It is 1312 ft long by 164 ft wide. This is Jarger than the Panama Canal locks, which are 1000 ft in length and 110 ft in width. Among the semi-precious stones to be found on the shores of the British Isles are carnelians, rock crystals, agates, amethyst matrix, jet, onyx, and aquamarines.
