POLO CONCLUDES WITH GOOD GAMES.
The polo tourney was concluded at Pa re ora on Tuesday, when the finals of Orbell and Amuri Cups were played. The Mayfield Club team, making their first appearance at a polo tournament, carried off the Orbell Cup from Pareora A, who conceded 17 goals to the winners. The score was even at the last eliukka, and the half-point point going to the team with the greater handicap went to Mayfield, leaving them winners by half a. point. The Amuri Cup was won by Pareora B with three wins. Christchurch A were beaten by Christchurch B and by Pareora B. The play generally was not of such a high standard as on the previous day. The best game of the day was that between Pareora B and Christchurch A.
