ULM FORCED DOWN WITH GIANT FOKKER.
BRISBANE TO SYDNEY AIR SERVICE OPENED. (United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) SYDNEY, January 1. Inaugurating the air service between Brisbane and Sydney to-day, a National Airways monoplane piloted by Flight-Lieutenant C. P. T. Ulm. with seven passengers and mails, had a forced landing after crossing into New South Wales. The machine landed in a ploughed paddock. The undercarriage of a new giant Fokker was severely damaged, but nobody was injured.
