BETTING INQUIRY CONCLUDES TO-DAY,
ONLY FEW OFFICIALS ARE INVOLVED.
(Special to the “Star.” AUCKLAND, December 18. The Departmental inquiry before the Magistrate (Mr Hunt) into the allegations of betting by members of the Auckland telegraph staff concludes today.
lij order to correct a wrong impression, it should be stated that the number of employees involved in the inquiry was less than a dozen, and not forty, as has been published on various occasions.
