GERMAN DEFENCE MINISTER RIDICULES FRENCH CHARGES.

The Defence Minister, General Croener, ridicules the French charges in the Chamber of Deputies. He said that he could not help smiling at the apprehension of the world’s most strongly armed nation concerning German}*, which had no modern equipment. “We have adhered strictly to the proscriptions of the Versailles Treaty and have made absolutely no preparation for chemical warfare.”
In the French Chamber it was stated on December 11 that Germany was preparing chemicals allegedly for commercial purposes, which at a moment’s notice could be transformed into matftrial for rVipniiVo 1 w <»»-«.
