Mr Cyrus J. R. Williams has been elected unopposed president of the Canterbury Society of Arts, Mr N. L. Macbeth and Miss M. O. Stoddart have been elected unopposed vice-presidents. Mr R. Wallwork, honorary treasurer, and Messrs Anderson, Bicknell and Co., honorary auditors. Six candidates have been nominated for the council, and as only four members are required, an election will be held at 8 p.m. on Monday next. The candidates are Mrs Claude Sawt-ell and Messrs A. L. Cropp, 11. L. Booth, M'Gregor Wright, C. F. Kelly, and G. Hamilton.
