ADJOURNED MEETING OF CREDITORS HELD.
An adjourned meeting of creditors in the bankrupt estate of J. O. Discaciati, coal merchant, of Rangiora, was held this morning, the Official Assignee (Mr J. H. Robertson) presiding. The Assignee explained that the meeting had been called at the instance of a firm of creditors who had expressed the view that the claim of the Traders’ Discount Company should be treated as secured.
It was decided that the question of treating the claim of the Traders’ Discount Company as secured be referred to Messrs C. G. Curtis and H. J. Quarrell, with power to act, and that the Official Assignee be authorised to deal with the book debts by private treaty.
