PHIL SCOTT TO MEET VON PORAT IN BOUT AT MADISON SQUARE.
NEW YORK, December 8. Phil Scott (14st 71b), the British heavy-weight boxing champion, will meet O. von Porat (14st 61b) in a bout of twelve rounds, at Madison Square Garden, on Monday night. Scott is favoured, six to five. During training von Porat has been exhibiting a heavy punch, while the British champion, who is scaling dow’n in weight, has been exceptionally clever and has lost none of his speed.
