FOREMAN INJURED WHILE WORKING ON COLOMBO ST. BRIDGE.
Mr D. Thomas, foreman in charge of the gang engaged in widening the Colombo Street bridge, crushed a finger of his right hand whilst working on the bridge this morning and had to be taken to the Hospital. Mr Thomas was steadying a stake which was being driven into the bed of the river, when his hand slipped and was caught by the mallet.
