dairying industry IN HAWKE'S BAY MAKES PROGRESS. Per Press Association. HASTINGS , December 7. An important transaction relating to the dairying industry in Central Hawke s Bay has just been completed, the Heretaunga Co-operative Dairy Company, with headquarters at Hastings, having purchased the property, plant and goodwill of the Waipukurau Co-op. Dairy Company, whose headquarters were Waipukurau. Dairying is now making such rapid progress on the rich land around Hastings thnt the Ileretaunga Company were faced with the necessity of doubling the plant capacity within the next year or two. The establishment of a branch factory in their southern territory will reduce overhead expenses and consolidate the district’s dairying Industry, under progressive organisation, which has reached a high place for quality of products and the price paid to suppliers.
