(United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received December 7, 11.30 a.m.) RUGBY, December 6. Sir William M’Lintock, prominent chartered accountant, has been appointed to advise the Government in their inquiries on the scheme for the public control and co-ordination of London’s passenger transport. His duties will be of an actuarial character. The value of London’s passenger traffic undertakings is generally estimated at over £100,000,000. Sir William M’Lintock will ascertain the £uancial possibilities and liabilities of all the companies concerned and will report to the Transport Minister. It is probable that the work will take considerable time, but the Transport Minister has indicated that the Government contemplate no further action until a thorough investigation of the financial aspect of the scheme has been completed.
