LABOUR DAY PICNIC AT TROTTING GROUNDS.
The annual Labour Day picnic organised by the Trades and Labour Council was held at the Addington Trotting Grounds to-day. There was only a fair attendance in the morning. though brighter weather later in the day attracted large numbers. At 11 a.m. the attendance was estimated at over 1000. A varied programme of sports and other amusements proved highly enjoyable to the many children present. The arrangements for the picnic were adequate. _________________
