A. BLENHEIM PIONEER, J. B. RAYNER, DIES
Per Press Association. BLENHEIM, October 14. The death is announced of Mr Joshua Brown Rayner, aged 78. ITe arrived at Port Chalmers in 1861 and settled in Blenheim with his parents in 1865. Later he entered a partnership in the wool and skin business. Mr Rayner had been associated with the Marlborough Racing Club since its inception. He was also one of the earliest members of the Wairau River Board and the Wairau Licensing Committee.
