CHRISTCHURCH CLUB. CAPTAIN’S 1 TROPHT. In the semi-final of the Captain’s trophy G. W. Haverfield beat S. L. Rutherford, S' and 2, and now meets the winner of the Morgan-Lawrence Same in the final. DENNISTON CUP. In the semi-final G. W. Ward beat G. F. Colbeck, 3 and 2. They played IS holes and were all square, and immediately went out and played another round with the above result. CHRISTCHURCH v. AVONDALE. In the home and away matches between the above clubs Christchurch, won both at Shirley and at Avondale. AVONDALE V. CHRISTCHURCH. A home-and-away match was played between the Avondale Club and the Christchurch Club during the week-end that resulted in a win for the latter by 22£ to IJ.
