CREW OF STEAMER WILL APPEAR IN MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
" IMPEDED PROGRESS OF VESSEL " IS CHARGE. Nineteen men of the crew of the steamer Lawbeath. which is held up at Lyttelton on account of a dispute between the crew and the owners over wages, will appear at the Lyttelton Magistrate’s Court this afternoon. They will be charged with combining together to impede the progress of the vessel. Mr 11. A. Young, S.M., will preside at the Court. It is understood that warrants were issued for the arrest of the men, but that after a conference with the police, they agreed to surrender at the Court at the time of hearing.
