MOTOR-CYCLIST HURT IN WEEK-END SMASH.

Colliding with a push-cyclist on the Main North Road between Styx and Belfast on Saturday evening, a motorcyclist named J. Ritchie, whose home is at the corner of Andover and Cheltenham Streets, Merivale, was injured. The motor-cycle, on the back of which was a passenger named K. Burrowes, fell on top of Ritchie, who was taken to the Christchurch Hospital suffering from head injuries. Neither Burrowes nor the push-cyclist was seriously injured. Both machines were damaged. The accident happened at 7.30 p.m.. and the motor-cycle was going north ward at the time.
