ANNUAL ATHLETIC SPORTS OF CHRIST'S COLLEGE ARE HELD.

The annual athletic sports at Christ’s College were commenced at tne '-'Oiiege grounds yesterday afternoon. There were good entries in all events, and, despite a strong wind, some good Performances were recorded. D. £■ - Anderson is in the lead for the senior championship with eight pointy, having - won tho long jump and the half-mile race. J. H. Lascelles, who won the mile walk, is next with five points. F. R. <-o© has three points, while A- J- Aitken, J. W. Rolleston and J. M. Ollivier each have , two points. T. M. Bain leads in the junior championship with eight points, while M. J. O’Brien and R. Orbell have two and one respectively. Julius House lead for the house challenge cup with thirteen points. School House being n’ext with ten, and Flower and Harper Houses third equal with four points each. The sports will bte concluded to-day. Results:—— _
