Per Press Association. AUCKLAND. October 12. Playing Marist to-day, South Sydney opened the scoring with a penalty goal by B. Wearing. Later B. Quinlivan added another from half-way. Just before the interval, Gregory snapped up in midfield and badly beat the opposition. Converting his own try, Gregory put Marist ahead by five points to four at half-time. Final score: MARIST 10 SOUTH SYDNEY 0
