The final of the amateur golf championship lies between Tolley, an exuniversity champion, and now a London stockbroker, and Smith, a Scottish ratisan, who is unknown in England He is thirtv-six and a joiner by trade, living at Earlsferry. Another joiner hailing from Earlsferry is quite a gooi golfer. His name is James Braid.—" Times ’’ Cable.
