CANAL AT NICARAGUA IS NOW A POSSIBILITY.

The United States Government has secured permission from Nicaragua to dispatch to that country a battalion of anvy engineer troops to make a preliminary investigation and survey the practicability and approximate cost of an inter-oceanic canal route through Nicaragua.—Australian Press Association.
